Oh, how I love to visit NYC on St. Patrick's Day. No matter how many times I've seen the parade, I'm ready to return the next year. The parade runs along Fifth Avenue from around 44 St. to 79 St. Unlike other parades, this one moves uptown. Sure the streets are crowded but that's part of the fun. Take in... More

What better place to be other than here!!! The parade literally goes ALL DAY LONG so if you can do this walk on another day, you should plan that. Great window shopping and almost always a sale here or there.

We walked Fifth Avenue a lot while visiting NYC. There is so much to see and it is a central street to get to other attractions/shopping. The streets were clean and the people were nice. Be cautious crossing the street!

Fifth Avenue in New York city is a shoppers paradise. Whether you go inside and actually make purchases at some of the businesses or whether you are like me and love to window shop I would recommend walking at least part of Fifth Ave. Some of the window displays are so awesome and this is where the high end elite... Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
