A beautiful church, inside and out. Many side alters to view. Beautiful sculptures and stonework. Too many beautiful stained glass windows to count.

My family and I took a trip to NYC, Boston, and Philadelphia. We visited St. Patrick's Cathedral at sunset before supper. If you visit you have to be very quiet and walk slowly. Dress like you do at regular church. Too bad the pipe organ...More

Catholic or not, this is a beautiful place to come light a candle and say a prayer. The architecture is breathtaking. Be prepared to be quiet and reverent while inside, and picture taking is at a minimum. If you want to take pictures, be sure...More

Good for a slow walk through if you are not going to attend a church service. Please dress modestly - this is a Church! Quiet behavior is appreciated.

This cathedral is situated in the middle of Manhattan and close to other tourist' spots. The church is under renovation. There are plenty of saints' statues and candles to lit. Taking pictures is allowed but discouraged during mass. The main entrance is in Fifth Avenue.

Attending a Service there is an experience any Catholic will find deeply special. It was a weekday, noon, not crowded, not noisy, it was a real religious feeling of communion. Outside was the Swift, non-nonsense business of New Yorkers going on with their lives. It...More

This is a beautiful church. Nice stop on a walk through the city and a good place to escape the crowds for a little quiet time.

Yes!! It is very traditional—the crèche is awesome and the choir sang songs all would be familiar with! Can’t believe your pastor is so .... does he not know about the Advent Candles??? Hope you see St Patrick’s someday!
