This is an amazing cathedral. It is so beautiful and so worth seeing. We loved the giftshop and spent more time and money there than in the NYC shops!!! Worth seeing when you are by Rockefeller Plaza.

This is a freebie. As a no cost option it is worth a visit if you have an hour or two to kill. It has a lot of dedicated sections to various saints which helps make the visit quite interesting.

So large, historic, and absolutely beautiful! Great inexpensive gift shop that sells very affordable things like rosary beads, religious ornaments for your home, blessed candles, and more.

The architecture alone makes it worth visiting. Figure in the history, and the building is an outstanding tourist attraction. The interior is gorgeous and should be experienced.

Among skyscrapers, there is the Neo-Gothic Beauty. The inside is nice, but the facade, OH MY!!! It's really near Rockefeller Center and the later in turn close to Times Square, so it's a nice combo in half a mile!

Even though mass is going on, the church is full of tourists; just be respectful. It is a beautiful church.

I like to take people that have never been to the city to see the Cathedral because most people haven't see a huge church inside. We were lucky that they were having a mass while we walked through. The music was inspirational to say the least..

This is such a beautiful place! I took pics from several different angles and they all turned out amazing. On Facebook these photos were liked more than any other photos I posted on my trip to New York!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
