Bryant Park has a French-style merry-go-round, open year-round, plus a well-maintained lawn, with chairs and tables. The outdoor Reading Room has picture books and summertime story times. In winter. Take a spin on the free ice-skating rink. The park also has clean bathrooms, a rarity in midtown.

The park is just between Fifth and Sixth Street and the place is teeming with food stalls and other amenities. We waited for our friend here - it was a meet-up and waiting became a great experience with the greens and lights around.

The park is great. Its not only cool in design but cool due to the trees. A walk. A talk. A sidewalk. All perfect. A splendid oasis in midtown.

Always something to do in the park. Find a shady table, watch a movie, play cards,,,and more. It is a gem in the middle of a very buys area. Nicely maintained.

We grabbed a coffee after getting a muffin and fresh fruit from Whole foods across the street. Such a relaxing way to begin your busy day sightseeing!

Beautiful area to relax & unwind amongst the trees. Nice to see the grass when the ice rink isn’t there in winter. Little eateries border the park if you’re peckish. Definitely worth the visit. During summer, they show free movies in the park on a...More

Fantastic space in the city to sit and chill and people watch. Always something going off, they were ballet dancers practising for a later event when we went at lunch. Best toilets in the city, superbly clean.

Stopped in one evening to just spend an hour or two relaxing, people watching and catching a part of a modern day Shakespeare presentation.

Spent time during visit to NYC resting in this park. Great outdoor space. Shade, sun, fountain. What more could want? Excellent people watching.

Get a good map. If you aren’t familiar with the subway walk, take a taxi or Uber. Think of Manhattan like distinct walking sections. On our first trip to NYC we took a car/taxi from our hotel to the 9/11 Memorial and... More

No it’s a small rink and most people are just leisurely skating. In fact, they have little plastic penguins and snowmen to aid children who need help skating. It’s just good fun for everyone.
