Smaller park, but fun. Has a fountain ('Friends' tv show fountain?), street performers, arches. Great time. Not that far of a walk to Flat Iron building, so if you like architecture and history, try this as well.

I think when people think of NYC, they only consider Central Park to visit, but Washington Square Park is also a must-see, and it certainly doesn't take a day or two to explore it like CP. Make some time to have a seat, relax, and...More

We went on a Saturday afternoon and saw some great street performers. Fun to hang out and people watch!

It's a good place in Greenwich Village to relax or take a leisurely walk. The people-watching can be entertaining.

A small park surrounded by NYU buildings. From spring through fall you can enjoy jazz music played by local bands every afternoon. Don’t miss the Halloween parade at this park if you happen to be around on that day!

Well kept park! It’s very pretty and the flowers were gorgeous. The only issue I had was how some people were rude and didn’t follow Park rules. There were people with their pets, some people on roller blades/skateboards that were somewhat careless. Otherwise it’s a...More

I love this park very much, it's somehow unique and very beautiful. At weekends, there will be all kinds of performances. I love to see how people are enjoying the park in their own ways.

This is a lovely little park we cut through to get to where we wanted to go. We stopped to look at a few things on the way. There is a fountain and a monument we stopped to look at. Nice place to just stroll...More

Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was
here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter
culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for
its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to
get a feel for this diverse and energetic
neighbourhood. You’ll find NYU students, street
performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the
fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess.

We walked a few blocks to the NYU bookstore. We also stopped at a small place for bubble tea. The highlight was probably getting cookie dough at DO.
