There wasn't much going on when we visited Washington Square Park but we were passing and thought it worth a look. It was impressive to see in person and the park itself is small but nice for a quick sit down after all the walking...More

This is a small park with music, or some sort of entertainment going on through the summer. Be careful for thieves though.

New York city is obviously a big place with lots to see, but if you miss Washington Square, in my opinion, you've missed the heart and essense of the city! To start with, it is one the oldest sections of Manhattan, many chapters of the...More

We put our feet in the fountain, listened to some musicians, watched a great chalk artist, and enjoyed the day. Nothing spectacular, but relaxing and fun.

Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was
here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter
culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for
its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to
get a feel for this diverse and energetic
neighbourhood. You’ll find NYU students, street
performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the
fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess.
