I took my mom for Mother's Day. The tour guide, Laurie, was excellent. All the tastings were delicious and there was no "waiting around" when you got to each food place everything was ready for you. Very organized. Laurie was very informative and you could feel her genuine excitement for being a tour guide.

Having done a couple of food tours on previous trips decided to explore Brooklyn this time around. Tour is more pricey but that's because you travel around in a small bus to get you around the major areas. Rick was our guide and he was a very knowledgable and entertaining guide. The food was very good as well ranging from... More

This trip is special in several ways. Firstly, you will get to visit parts of Brooklyn that you could never access on your own, and you will get to eat a lot of interesting food from many cultures. Secondly, our guide, Rick, was absolutely amazing. We learned so much about the history and cultures which live in Brooklyn. In sixty... More

Laurie led us through Brooklyn's best sites and best food on a tour from 11-4 on a chilly Sunday in Feb but who cared about the temp! Laurie was fun, knowledgeable and on top of every detail. Everyone loved the experience. We plan to go again soon. I HIGHLY recommend it. TOP TIER!

What a great way to see Brooklyn, Lori was our guide and was so much fun and so informative not only about the food but the history and interesting info about each area. We shared our trip with some great people from all over the US Canada and Europe just a really pleasant day relaxed and fun I would recommend... More

This is one of the best values around. As frequent NYC travelers who get around by subway, bring driven around was an added bonus - especially the day after a major snowstorm. We love Brooklyn, but don't always make it a priority to get there from Manhattan. Now, with Laurie's suggestions, we have places we want to return to to... More

My husband and I did this tour on a cold sunny day in January and had a fantastic time. We had a short stay in New York but wanted to visit Brooklyn as well and this tour with the great food and also the history is just what we wanted. Laurie was our guide and she is a happy, bubbly... More

Rick was our tour guide, and the smallish bus was very comfortable and his commentary along the way most informative. We've been to NY twice before, so done the usual tourist hotspots. This time, we enjoyed the window into various cultural groups that the food samplings provided, but the areas and the commentary were the real highlight for us. The... More

This trip was so much fun! I had never been to Brooklyn before so this was a great way to experience the different neighborhoods. Laurie was very knowledgeable and dynamic. All of the food samplings were delicious. I would take this tour again!

I just moved to Brooklyn so I wanted to get acquainted with the local food scene before I started my new job. What was great about this tour is that not only did I get to see a variety of great eats in Brooklyn, but I also got to hear about it's unique, oft-untold history. Thoroughly recommend this tour for... More

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
