We were not sure what to expect from this, but we were very pleasantly surprised. There was loads for all the family to enjoy. Only advice, would be to make sure you allow 3+ hours to be able to see and appreciate it all, it is so much bigger and better than it looks on the outside. It has everything... More

I went to this attraction with a friend who happened to be 6'10" tall. He had to duck through the entire tour. Her got some relief when we visited the space shuttle on the deck. You tour the boat by yourself, and every once in a while someone is situated in a place where they can explain what you're looking... More

Self guided tour of the Interpid, the space shuttle, various military aircraft (including an early Blue Angel). Great way to spend a nice day, especially if the weather is good (to walk around outside).

Was recommended by a friend to visit and was not disappointed. Intrepid is an retired aircraft carrier which you can look around with various fighter jets on the top. There is also a submarine, Concorde and and space shuttle. My 10yr old daughter was blown away by this place. Book and print tickets online prior to visit as it makes... More

I like this place. I had another opportunity to see Concorde, SR-71 and other military planes. It was my first visit on the real carrier. My son and me have enjoyed time spent there. We also went for Concorde tour and Space Shuttle Tour. We have learned a lot. I recommend this place. RomanPi

Loved it, so much to see, being a bit of a space nerd we signed up for the space history tour on arrival which also allowed us to skip the entire line/queue. Loved sitting under the nose cone of a British Airways Concorde, relaxing, taking five (well 25) and watching the Hudson River.

Loads to do on this decommissioned aircraft carrier including the ship itself, various aeroplanes, helicopters, space shuttle and Concorde. A full day out so give yourself at least 4-5 hours to do this attraction. Very enjoyable.

Queues are crazy long but having already bought my tickets i walked past them all and straight in. Interesting place if you like the type of thing. Plenty to see and read about. Probably done in a couple of hours.

This was one of my favorite places as a kid. I always loved all the planes, but now they have some more cool ones including the (I think F-16) from Israel, another plane from Italy, the Concorde which I always wanted to see up close, and the Shuttle which I did not get to see. (extra fee) I took my... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
