Had a great few hours exploring the ship and exhibits. The highlight for us was the submarine and just how cramped and basic the living conditions. To speak to submariners aboard was fantastic. To see a Concorde well you don't get to see one of those everyday. Great way to spend a few hours in NYC and appreciate not only... More

Always wondered about life on a ship, this site provided opportunity to experience it. Very friendly site and staff, no pressure to rush, very informative.

This is a highlight of our trip to New York! What a place. My boyfriend is a aviation enthusiast so it was a must see, and definitely is for anyone who loves that kind of thing! I myself am not a lover of it, but still had a great time. The history is incredible! A bit gutted that the submarine... More

The ship has become a museum. and clearly provides a door to the past, the hardships our sailors lived, the lives lost, the equipment used, and why american are have the freedoms they take for granted. Well worth the visit!

When we visited we bought the tickets for the submarine and the Space museum which were all a blast. When we were walking around I was fascinated by the AA guns on the ship and also the guns on the side to fire on enemy ships as well. I thought another amazing part was the Lego design of the Intrepid.... More

Sadly not impressed with this museum. Over priced and underwhelmed. Considering this is a museum designed as a tribute to the brave men who fought for their country I was disgusted to see it being used to exploit their memory and achievements. The major attractions such as the space shuttle and British Airways Concorde incurred an extra fee on top... More

They have done a really good job with this museum! We could have spent hours here, but went through quickly in about 2 hours. Can't say enough about it. I would love to return with my grandsons!

Visited this museum on a very wet day but thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Loved looking over the Submarine and it was brilliant to have Veterans on there that could answer our questions. The indoor attraction was well presented and laid out too and we enjoyed waking around.Loys to see and read. A good display of Aircraft outside on deck but... More

An excellent museum with many inter-active displays. For me, this is living-history - for my grandson it is a museum. Many aircraft on display including Concorde and the space shuttle Enterprise. Not a cheap visit - we paid $115 for 2 adults and 1 child - but we had a great afternoon. Allow 2 - 3 hours to cover the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
