A great museum

I liked it very much, it is big and cool, many plains and hlicopters in great condition, and the ship itself is very impressive.

Went here with my husband since he is into airplanes and loves museums. I thought I would be bored but there is a lot of stuff to see including submarine and space ship. Gift shop was reasonably priced.

We got there 2 hrs before it closed and the ridiculously slow line with security took 40 min. They only had 4-5 people selling tickets to hundreds. We missed the last guided tour so we were on our own. We opted to skip the submarine (unfortunately) due to time constraints (darn line!) and we went onto the aircraft carrier. We... More

Although im not a fan of warfare, this museum gives you a picture about the life of soldiers/sailors at sea and you can learn a couple of things bout war itself and why it is uncool! Many planes and the nuc submarine is a nice place to visit too.

I liked the tour of the ship. It's interesting to see the inside and the history of such a great ship. I liked the submarine part of the tour but found out I'm definitely not made for confined spaces. Even if you're a little bit claustrophobic make sure it's not a super busy day are you might have some issues... More

Visited here prior to attending the boat shoe at the Javitz Convention Center. My huband is in the military and recieved free admission. All tours are self guided so you can go at your own pace. My favorite part was going down into the submarine. There are volunteer veterans located throughout the ship who are more than happy to chat,... More

I've visited few aircraft carriers and have to say that Intrepid is not the best experience among these, but worth of visiting anyway. There is also a submarine the through of which the carrier itself is accessed. The usual WWII combat simulator is available for additional 12USD.

Visited with my husband and although he enjoyed it, I thought it could have been a lot better. We paid extra for entry to the space and submarine section. We had to wait 25 minutes (on a Tuesday afternoon) to enter the submarine section, with nothing around you to keep you entertained. When we finally got in, you are pushed... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
