This area of New York is really cool. There's obviously the Chelsea Food Market, which is definitely worth a visit, and you can also walk the High Line to just near there. It should be part of any New York exploration.

Chelsea has a ton of great restaurants and bars. The Chelsea Markets have a wide range of food. The Whitney is located here at the start of the High Line. If you don't stay around here it is worth checking out

Convenient if you want stop for a snack. There are shops too. Felt safe walking in the area - I went in the middle of the day. Saw some historical buildings and looked up on phone. Was interesting.

Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful
brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most
popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s
jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The
contemporary art scene is an integral part of the
neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost
every night of the week and countless exhibits to
explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York
