I had never noticed this Fifth Avenue Episcopal church before and decided to enter on a recent visit to NYC. That afternoon, the Gothic Revival structure's front steps served as seating for about 12 people taking a rest on the hot, humid day. As I...More

St Thomas is a vibrant and active church on Upper East Side on Fifth Avenue. It is a beautiful building and through its staff a very welcoming church. There are regular worship services which are worth taking part in. The music is of the very...More

As you enter the nave from 5th Ave. walk over to the left to see a bas relief, WWI memorial over the door. The idea of warrior angels is an old one, but figured in a WWI setting is very effective. Oh ya, the rest...More

You must stop to see their new organ. It was a multi year project and was hand carved by a family in Pennsylvania. It nice to see true craftsmanship is still being used.

Just happened to walk by and could not resist walking into this lovely church. Lovely stained glass throughout, including a large rose window. So worth a visit.

We had the pleasure to visit this beautiful church while they were tuning the new pipe organ. Lovely stained glass throughout the church. I enjoyed this church better than St. Patrick's down the street.

Whenever we travel we try to attend church, a practice that has taken us to some beautiful locations. Saint Thomas is, by far, our favorite. Located on 5th and 53rd (blocks from Trump Towers), you are in the heart of everything. The building is a...More
