The Hamiltour may be my favorite of all of the tours (Act 1, 2, & 3) because of the insider view that Tim brought. Chasing down props, the movements the actors make- it was amazing to see so many details of the show alongside the history of the city. Wall Street (with scars), Trinity Church... places with so much history,... More

I have taken all the BUC tours and was excited to see "The Unofficial Hamilton" tour added. I thouroughly enjoyed the tours I had taken with BUC in the past, and was looking forward to this one. Well I was not disappointed. This tour is on par with all of the other BUC tours I have taken. Tim interwove history... More

What a fantastic tour experience! We've always enjoyed musicals, but wouldn't categorize ourselves as a "theater nerd." We've seen shows on Broadway before, but haven't ever bothered to learn the history of the theater district. Broadway Up Close was the history of the theater district with an emphasis on the theaters, the shows, and the key players of the time... More

I'm so glad I decided to take part in this tour. I'm a musical threatre major and wasn't sure I should do it at first. It was extremely interesting to learn the incredible history of the buildings standing right in front of us! It made NYC and 42nd street far more magical. It was so wonderful that I've listened to... As a theater nerd, I like to think that I am relatively knowledgable about Broadway, but that by no means implies that I know the history. Now I can say that I do. And I love it. The tour was fun and fascinating and mixed with delightful stories from our tour guide (Tim Dolan, amazing and incredibly knowledgable) about auditions... More

This is the perfect activity for tourists AND New Yorkers. Tim was fun, funny, and SO informative. As someone who lived in New York and has been a part of the Broadway industry for over 20 years, I learned so much! This really is the perfect thing to do when you have out of town visitors or just feel like... More

I had a great time on the ACT 1 tour lead by owner and guide Tim...despite the extra frigid January temperatures! Tim gives an animated, historical and knowledgable view into Broadway's past and present with tons of fascinating anecdotes and tidbits about the key players and politics that shaped it. Now I'm eager to learn more - thanks for a... More

We booked our tour for Act II before we booked our plane or hotel!! Once again Tim entertained us with stories about shows, theaters and people. I can't wait to get back and take the Hamiltour! BUC will be an unforgettable, thoroughly entertaining part of your trip. Do it!!!!

I was fortunate enough to get to experience BUC's new Hamilton based tour "Hamiltour". Regardless if you're a fan of the musical or just a fan of History, this tour has something for all. Tims extensive knowledge of our Founding Fathers made the stories he told come to life as we stood in the exact area's of NYC where Hamilton... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
