New York City provided three days of excitement, fun, and charm.
I arrived in time to be in the audience of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Thursday after which I had dinner at Junior's on Broadway. After visiting the United Nations and other sites on Friday I had dinner with friends at their home in West Harlem. On Saturday I visited the restaurant that was the exterior location for the coffee shop on "Seinfeld." I then went to visit Little Island and walked the skyline to the Vessel in Hudson Yards where I had lunch at the Bodega on the lowest level. Saturday evening attended the final performance of the season of Lohengrin at The Metropolitan Opera. After the opera I took the train to Washington, D.c.

Upscale Shopping and a Great Restaurant Inside
We visited the Shops at Hudson Yards for the second time. This shopping mall has lots of high end stores as well a variety of food choices. We came here to go up to the Edge and when we finished we walked around and found ANA Bar and Eatery. We sat at the bar and was waited on immediately by Pedro. We ordered two wines and after a while ordered chips and salsa. Living in Texas we are picky about our chips and salsa and these did not disappoint. We then ordered short rib quesadilla to share. I've never seen short rib quesadillas before on a menu. They were perfection. The meat was very, very tender. We highly recommend this restaurant.

    A Nice Shopping Mall
Came in here dying with the thirst and hunger after walking the highline (lol!) with my boyfriend and enjoyed a nice stroll around, as well as my first ever meal at a Shake Shack and the banana pudding from Magnolia Bakery. I had heard people raving about it so decided to give it a go. Did not disappoint!

    Swanky Shops
I took a walk along the High Line from the Meatpacking District which was very enjoyable. If you travel the full length of the High Line it will bring you out at The Vessel and Hudson Yards. This is a rather fancy shopping centre. I had a wander around and there are lots of high end, exclusive stores like Cartier. I was travelling on a budget so I was not able to buy anything from the stores but it was nice to have a browse. I also got to use their wifi to stay connected so that was a plus point.

    Sparkling new shopping mall
We went to the shopping mall as we were there to visit The Edge observation deck. The shopping centre seemed very new with a mix of expensive designer shops and other more affordable shops (Levi's, H&M, Zara etc). There were some great views of The Vessel from the atrium. There was a good mix of cafes and restaurants. I would have loved to stay longer.

    Fancy new mall
This fancy new mall was a pleasant way to spend part of an afternoon in dreary weather. We came here on Christmas, so most of the shoppes were closed, but there were a couple of restaurants open, so it was really busy with people wandering around and queueing for their reservations. The entire mall was decorated with holiday lights, making for a pleasant place to stroll. It'll be nice to come back when the shoppes are open.

    Interesting collection of upscale shops
Browsed the mall before dinner and a show at The Shed. Unfortunately the beautiful "Vessel" in the courtyard is closed, but still pretty to look at. Little Spain has food vendors and restaurants displaying gorgeous and intriguing wares - pastries, thousand dollar ham, octopus, etc. Usual upscale retailers - Coach, Tiffany, LuluLemon - plus some interesting oriental stores selling clothing, stationery, housewares, etc. Good selection of restaurants also.

Great place to hide from the inclement weather, the vessel is also outside and you can start or finish the high line walk here

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL HOTEL. LARGE ROOM WITH BIG DESK MADE WORKING EASIER. GORGEOUS MARBLE BATHROOM. VERY HELPFULL AND ACCOMODATING STAFF, CONSIDERING WE WERE SHOOTING PART OF A DOCUMENTARY IN THE ROOM WITHOUT ANY INTERUPTIONS AND FULL SUPPORT FROM STAFF. GREAT SUGGESTION FROM STAFF OF AN EXCELLENT RESTAURANT FOR THE CREW LUNCH. OLGA TOOK GREAT CARE OF US AS THE WOMAN RESPONSIBLE FOR CORPORATE BOOKINGS AND WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL. VERY CLEAN. COMFY BED. VERY RESPONSIVE AND PERSONABLE HOUSEKEEPING STAFF.

There are many many shops at the plaza in Hudson Yards. Mostly high end and good stock on display. There are not that many restaurants.

This mall is outstanding with lots of shops, restaurants and bars. Very clean and easy to navigate. Dodge the car and walk the high line through the city.

The bathrooms in Hudson Yards Shops mall are filthy. The last two times I've used the ladies room there have been no paper products: the seat covers are missing and there is no toilet paper. The sink faucets do not work properly. This includes the second and four floor facilities.

I went to this mall and the Edge twice on my trip in NY on July 20 & 25. I used the restroom after my trip at the Edge Observatory deck around 10 pm. Among 5 restrooms there were no toilet paper left, no soap left at any dispenser. All toilets are filthy. It was totally unexpected and unprofessional from this high end mall and the Edge. I paid $150 for 3 of us and got this service.
I visited this mall again on 25th July around 3 after our walk from the High Line. Same experience with the restroom. This time there was just a tiny bit toilet paper left and toilets are very dirty. You get better service at the road side gas station.
