I've made pizzas at home for years, but it's never been quite right. After this class, I now know how to bang out incredible pizza at home...better than most pizza I'll ever get out (and that's saying a lot in NYC)! The class was super-informative in a relaxed, fun atmosphere. FUN is the operative word! Instruction is excellent, the facility... More

What a gem! Our team spent an afternoon at Pizza a Casa for our Holiday outing. The staff, led by Dano, sets a relaxed and upbeat vibe. The great news is that while drinking wine, and making and eating some of the most delicious thin crust pizza we ever tasted, we learned a ton ! The staff is knowledgeable, the... More

I surprised my boyfriend with an evening at Pizza a Casa during our recent trip to NY. It turned out to be the highlight of our holiday. The school opens 15 minutes before the class begins and there is space for bags (in case you've been shopping beforehand like we were!). You can also order drinks at pizza school so... More

I bought this an anniversary gift for my wife so we could enjoy a fun and interactive activity. As it turned out, I made the right decision. As a quick background - We have made pretty good homemade pizza before, but as with most who try, we could never figure out the techniques to make that elusive NYC pizza slice... More

YES! It was great having you guys in class and we love hearing we upped your pizza-making game (and super fun comparing notes on our favorite pizza joints). Don't forget we're at your service with our "Dough Emergency Hotline" as you continue down the path of pizza-making perfection. All the best from me (Mark), Jenny and Neil More

I adore pizza, but in general, the pizzas served up in UK restaurants are sad, limp, soggy affairs. I therefore decided to book this class as part of a holiday to NYC. In the space of an afternoon, Mark showed us how to produce pizza that far far exceeds the level of any local pizzeria!!! Mark willingly shared his huge... More

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighbourhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
