Nothing super special about the menu. It's been here forever, though, and worth a trip- especially if you're interested in NYC's literary history.

Not sure what I was expecting but it's a bar. Service is so so, kind of interesting about the food ordering and how they cook the food. Can't say I would go back because of the food or service. But the drinks were cold and...More

Famous place. Nice beer selection, no gluten free. Best for lunch before the crowds . Bar and dining rooms good for sidewalk people watching. Did not eat here but food looked good.

Great place for a chilled lunch on a sunny Sunday, like an old British pub, nice staff and good food and beer.

Stopped by for a drink while visiting the area. Great history - told writers, poets and musicians wrote there. Neat old building worthy of a look.

West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the
West Village is one of the city’s most coveted
addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and
cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture,
this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You
won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan.
Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to
get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you
