This privately-owned "pocket" park is a spot where visitors can escape the hustle and bustle of the city and breathe air air of calmness and peace. The waterfall cascade is the centerpiece. The sound of water amounts to a kind of silence.

I discovered this place last year and when I returned to New York in June this year I returned to look for it. It's a lovely place, a real oasis in the middle of 51st Street almost at the corner of Lexington Avenue.
It makes you want to stay for coffee or a bite to eat, or watch people working at your computer or just sit down and listen to the sound of the waterfall.

Great place to visit to enjoy breakfast and nature. It is really close to Ess-a-Bagel, so if you ordered online or already got your bagel, this is the place to go to enjoy your time.
This park is also featuring its own food place, with a great menu.

Love Love Love!! Found this gem of a park in the city while on a walk from my hotel. The water feature was refreshing. You get the opportunity to sit and relax outside of the hustle and bustle. Highly recommend if you happen to be in the area. You ca bring a light lunch or read a book here with no problem.

A surprise in the city, a real gem...
This small but beautiful park opens up between the skyscrapers, with a suggestive artificial waterfall and splendid flowers and plants.
In front of the waterfall there are tables and chairs for relaxing, eating or drinking something (there is a small bar at the entrance) or reading a good book.
An oasis where you can spend a few moments of tranquility amidst the frenetic life of New York, if you are in the area you can't miss it!

A pretty and sweet little enclave in the city. The waterfall is refreshing to watch and the atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable. There's a little cafe and tables or benches to sit at. I wouldn't go out of my way for this little park, but if you're in the neighborhood, it's worth a visit.

I loved this park. I stayed at Pod 51 Hotel which is across the road from this park. There is a lovey cafe - Carol's cafe in the park. I had breakfast here during my NYC break. I got a lovely coffee and toasted bagel each day for around $7. It is like a pocket of tranquillity and calm in a busy city. Highly recommended. I loved it here!

Complete with a 25' rushing waterfall, this green oasis is the perfect spot for a break in the hustle-noise of a big city. A 'vest pocket' park, privately owned, graced with tables, chairs and benches on multi-levels (complete with a small concession stand), it offers a place where water-noise can muffle the roar of traffic. Studded with trees and plantings, it is a place to sit with your back to the traffic, listening to the rush of the waterfall, a twitter of birdsong, and watching (oh, miracle!) honeybees busy in the blossoms.

I've been in NYC for more than 30 years and only visited this park recently. I've heard of it, but never before ventured to find. It's super cute and very pleasant. There is food stand - I think folks were eating French fries and I know they serve lemonade. On the super sunny day we went, there was a lot of seating in direct sunlight. There's also a roofed terrace with seating and a few cement benches around the perimeter.
