Definitely worth a stroll on a nice, sunny day!

I'm spoiled with the huge free DC zoo, so this one struck me as expensive and small. You can wait in the long line for entrance tickets where you have the option of the zoo ticket or zoo+4d movie tickets. Or you can go to one of the many kiosks (keep moving down the road to find more kiosks with... More

No matter what your age, it's always nice to see live animals once in a while. Especially when you live in a place like NYC! This place was really quite manageable for a couple hour (at a slow stroll) visit. The place was clean, well laid out, and easy to maneuver. We were lucky that it wasn't too crowded when... More

As iconic zoos go this is up there with best of them! Central Park Zoo while not as large of as well populated as the Bronx Zoo, is still a fairly remarkable day out, if not for the animals then for the views of the skyline as you walk around. The zoo in comparison to others around the world is... More

The zoo was clean, staff friendly, map provided free of charge and not long to wait to buy tickets for entry. There are self serve ticket machines or you can wait in line to pay with a member of staff. The zoo was busy but not crowded, we could still view all the animals at our leisure. We used the... More

On our last day we decided to have a nice walk around Central Park. It was very cold but the sun was shining so was lovely day we visited lots of the statues and places of interest, the boat house for hot apple cider & Central Park zoo. The zoo is small but if going with kids it's worth a... More

The kids enjoyed taking a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's not huge and some of the enclosures seem on the small side. The bird and butterfly walk was great and the kids enjoyed the penguins.

Interesting exhibits, even in the winter the animals are not just laying around. Here's a Himalayan monkey.

Very good variety of animals kept within the zoo in Central park. Lots of shows which can be scheduled into anyones visit. Lots of interactive shows and petting points to keep younger children involved. Would recommend to anyone visiting NY. One of the highlights of our daughters trip to NY.

Hard to believe there is a zoo and children's zoo adjacent at Central Park! Amazing to see snow leopard, penguins and grizzly bears in the middle of the park! Great way to experience Central Park with families and children.

We have visited Central Park several times, but had only visited the zoo during our last visit. Although small it is a fun little addition to your Central Park visit. We really enjoyed watching the bears and the feeding of the seals. We had 4 teenagers with us and we all had a fun time roaming around the zoo.
