If you time this right, you can see some of the most beautiful plantings and flowers anywhere. Hats off to the volunteers who work hard to tend to this jewel in the upper reaches of the park

Quiet formal gardens tucked away within Central Park! A beautiful garden, split into three zones, that offers a tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle of the wider park beyond

By many accounts, the most beautiful spot in NYC. Don't miss the iron front gates, which used to belong to Cornelius Vanderbilt's manion. Free admission

This is a garden within Central Park, and is just beautiful. The wisteria arbor is just stunning when in full bloom, but even when it is not, it is still a beautiful place to visit.

From early spring through autumn, the Conservatory Garden is a feast for the eyes. A visit every few weeks reveals amazing changes as new flowers bloom, formal gardens are replanted. The horticultural staff is wonderful at responding to questions.

This garden is very beautiful especially in spring and summer. I would strongly recommend going in the Spring and Summer when the blossoms are out.

The signs at the gate are severe enough to scare the inner brat! No talking, no music, no celphones, the park wardens will ask you to leave. The result is tranquility. I went on an overcast day on my way to visit a sick friend...More
