Though it looks nothing like the more historical gems over which it looms, it's still a gorgeous skyscraper near 42nd St and Park Ave. It was fascinating to see in person and imagine the helicopter rides that used to happen from its roof when it...More

An important building, formerly the Pan Am building. Now housing tons of firms as an office building, including many law firms. It is an interesting and pleasant place to spend some hours doing business. Good views to the North towards Central Park, up Park Avenue....More

This building was originally built in 1963 as the Pan Am Building and was later bought by Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. It has an impressive architecture and currently houses the headquarters of many big corporations.

You can clearly see this skyscraper while walking or crossing Park Avenue. It was built in the 1960's as Pan Am Building. One of many buildings to see in NYC.

This building looms above Park Ave. just north of Grand Central. It's been a landmark, but for me it was more notable when it had the PanAm name up on top. Now it disappoints.

We saw this building whilst walking towards Grand Central Station on a visit. Yes, its an American skyscraper and is impressive and yes its hard to miss. However it is not very well known at all. Located close to Grand Central Station.

This is a well known building in MidTown right on top of Grand Central. It used to be called the Pan Am building and had a helicopter pad on its roof. I once had dinner at the private club on the top floor called the...More
