While in NY on business, a few colleagues and I decided to take the ferry to Hoboken. We heard that this gives a great view of the Statue of Liberty and the best city scape view of NYC at night. Although, the view of Lady Liberty is not good at all, the city scape is incredible. We had a great... More

The ride is pretty thanks to the New York skyline. When you get to the other side into Manhattan, the employees are very rude and the bathrooms are extremely dirty! If you ask them a question they not only gave bad information but they took us out-of-the-way leaving us no other choice but to Uber to our destination.

In July 2016 we took the 90 min Harbour Twilight Cruise with NY Waterway at Pier 78 and we were amazed. The views of Manhattan at that hour are great, the boat is not too full, you can take incredible pictures as the sun sets and the narrator is great. For $29 is a great value.

We enjoyed using the waterway. Although our plan was to drive the hours plus to Paulus Hook and take the ferry for a day in lower Manhattan. We had rented a van for the 10 of us and it did not pan out as expected. If you are in a car, no issue. Our van did not meet clearance in... More

The ferry is great but the connecting buses are completely unreliable to Weehawken. I stood at the bus stop for 40 minutes. I watched other buses come back from their routes THREE times. I finally stopped one. They radioes to their center to check the whereabouts of the bus. No response!!!! In addition, the ticket booth personnel do not have... More

I asked the employees if the ferry went to the Brooklyn bridge and was told yes. We went from Williamsburg to midtown and was told to get off. They were very rude.

I ride NYW as a commuter to/from work. The service is horrible and unreliable. Considrr: 1. They make changes without telling folks. 2. The lines at Pier 11 NYC for evening return home are often incomprehensible with lines crisscrossing with no apparent logic (i.e. the line that always formed for prior visits is suddenly not the line anymore and it's... To Whom it may concern, Earlier today my wife o Fairway to do some shopping . We were told by one of the customers that ferries were running to the Statue of Liberty and other points along the Manhattan coastline . We decided to take the one going to pier 11 in the South Street Seaport section of Manhattan. Before... More

We've used NY Waterways to and from a number of locations - Weehauken, Paulus Hook, Governor's Island and from 34th Street to Dumbo. I've had nothing but very good experiences and I love seeing the city from its rivers.

What an interesting time this was... We wanted to head to Brooklyn's Dumbo and Williamsburg areas for the evening, and i had always wanted to try taking the harbor shuttle boat hoping it would also be a fun ride - and THAT IT WAS! First of all, pick a nice day-that may be a critical factor. The NY Waterways service... More
