It is worthwhile to spend part of a day in the West Village. There are all manners of interesting streets, shops, restaurants and bars. Streets have many pedestrians but little traffic. There are lots of historic buildings or places where famous people lived, worked or played.

Interesting streets to wander around. Excellent restaurants abound in this area. Use a travel book to key in interesting facts on the neighborhood. Walk to the Hudson River Walk, easily reached from this neighborhood.

Still can spot remnants of the beatniks and the club scene of the 60s but I love some of the old buildings especially along the small side streets.

A family member lives in West Village so we stayed in a nearby hotel for over a week. So many places to explore, brilliant cafes and restaurants, close to public transport, the high line, and the markets. We had a brilliant time.

The West Village is a fun easy stroll around a New York neighborhood and perfect to do on a sunny day. Plenty of houses to see, restuarants and cafes to stop in, shops to browse or spend money!

If you go to one area, go to West Village! It is the perfect in-between of trendy yet laid back. It has the high end shops without feeling too stuffy. The people will stop and let you pet their dogs, and most will greet you...More

Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the

this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You

Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to
