Ask for Worcestershire, extra lemon, the Avery Island hot sauce, and horseradish for the cocktail sauce and fashion it to your heart's content. Same goes for the Red Snapper bloody mary. Even ordering extra spicy wasn't enough for me.

One of the best bars in NYC. The atmosphere is typical of a bar with businessmen, wealthy and tourists at the same time. Everyone is served the same. The climate is cozy but sometimes a bit louder from the many voices. To the drinks one receives unsolicited small snacks which are always replenished. The service is top like you're accustomed... Best to do this during a week day when the bar isn't jammed. The reviews talk about how frenetic it is in there, but we found just the opposite. We were there around 1:00 on Friday. That gives you great service, plenty of time to check out the mural by Maxfield Parrish and chat with the bartender. Such a kick... More

Okay, it's the Saint Regis. It's supposed to be expensive. BUT it's also supposed to have great service, and this is where the experience goes south. How long should you wait for a $25 shot? How long does it take for the bowl of nuts if the waiter actually cared? better bet for a top experience- go across 5th avenue... More

This is the place where Bloody Mary is born, So me and my friends went here to enjoy the Red Snapper (Bloody Mary) compliment with their delicious bar menu. I had the oysters and may i say that it's the best combination to make your tong dance it's happy dance. The service is from a high end quality, definitely made... More

After having dinner in the City, our group stopped by the King Cole Bar to have a after dinner cocktail. Historic bar, great people watching. There is a mural behind the bar of a king and his court, with the king smiling and the rest of his court with priceless facial expressions! I was told years ago that the king... More

Being a lover of Bloody Mary's I had to come here!!! We loved the ambience and the intimate setting. We were dressed quite summer casual but luckily so was everyone else!! Our waiter was fantastic and was passionate and knew his stuff!! Our drinks and snacks came and they were just perfect!! A great setting, good service and wonderful drinks.

The Old King Cole Bar (OKC) is found on many lists of old-school “must visit” NYC bars. We had some time to kill in mid-town early on a Friday afternoon, so we dropped in. We expected old-school and expensive...and our expectation were met. We found a seat quickly. The waiter was reasonably prompt to take our order, but not rushed.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
