I loved this theater. I saw a movie in their top theater, which is like I think actually an old show theater or something, cause their was box seats. It was just a cool experience. It's nice to go to small theaters like this instead of the big AMC ones in town. Definitely recommend, cheaper too, compared too some of... More

Good, but old theater comfortable never full, weak concessions, very clean. Good independent movies. Good prices also!

If you want to see some amazing independent movies than this is the place to go. This theater is so small that there are only about 6-8 rolls but that's what I think makes it so special. The ticket pricing is fare for NY along with the popcorn and drinks.

The crew at Cinema Village is great. They love movies and are fast and courteous. Watch their website as they often have directors and actors on site to talk about the films. Many other cinemas in the area if their times don't work out. Great restaurants nearby too!

Very small and old fashioned movie theater, not expensive as well compared to others. Good place to spend miserable day :)

Nowadays, film fans expect the kind of state-of-the-art screening rooms that are at the center of the Tribeca and NY Film Festivals. And it's great that such institutions are being built and frequented. However, there was a time when those of us who enjoyed art films knew that our best chance to see them was in run-down theaters like Cinema... More

Before I went to NYC I googled "things to do on a rainy day in NYC" and Cinema Village was listed. I checked their schedule and saw the foreign film "Lore" and was interested in seeing it. My husband and I went to the theater on a Sunday afternoon; I had bought the tickets online but there were plenty of... More

This is a great little place; film tickets are $11 and the snacks are pretty reasonable too (just $3.50 for popcorn). There are three screens, the one I was in only had about 100 seats so it's quite an intimate little place. It's in a great vibrant location too.
