Let alone The Price by Arthur Miller with Mark Ruffalo and Danny DeVito starring, a beautiful theatrical production, but the theater itself and its merits are worth mentioning. Next year the theater, first opened as Selwyn Theatre in 1918, will celebrate its centenary. The interior decor that underwent significant renovations twenty years ago is in a very good shape, the... This theater is smaller than i expected. There really isn't a bad seat. We sat up top in row C and the view was good.

re the theater, don't sit in mez aisle a. you'll look at a bar all night, trying to scoot up/down just to see the players on the stage. re the play, i saw the cherry orchard with diane lane. 2 things: 1. the play is horrible!!! it's a stupid convoluted mess. shame on diane lane for appearing in such trash... My mother and I saw Long Days Journey Into Night here in June and we had a wonderful experience. The cafe upstairs is a nice place to sit while waiting for the doors to open; they currently have the names of every actor ever featured in Roundabout plays for their 50th anniversary on display. You can get a glass of... More

We saw A Long Days Journey into Night with Jessica Lange. The theater was comfortable, but for this specific play, the front row was WAY too close. Looking up at such a sharp angle, especially for nearly 4 hours - yes, the play was almost 4 hours long with 1 intermission, you get a stiff neck. However, being that close... More

This is a beautiful and well organized venue with friendly staff. The theatre is small and intimate so even if you get seats to the side or upstairs, you'd still be close. Because the celebrity series was cut due to the show's long runtime, they had a talk on the playwrights history beforehand upstairs which was cool. We had an... More

A terrific production of "Long Day's Journey Into Night" with an excellent cast and great staging. Don't know how the actors manage that level of intensity night after night. Awe-inspiring. Go see it if you can!

Easy to and quick to enter and exit with roomy aisles, easy bathroom access and comfy seats. Not a bad seat in the house and a nice bar.

I've been to this theatre many times for Roundabout productions which are usually excellent. We recently went to see Noises Off which I thoroughly enjoyed. The play is hilarious throughout and the cast were all excellent. I'm amazed at the timing required for all of the entrances and exits. I was particularly pleasantly surprised by the performance of Megan Hilty.... More

While this show received rave reviews from critics and the audience found it funny, I was not amused. I found the show to be too slapstick for my taste, evoking a Three Stooges Meets an Incompetent Theater Group feel. Silly and stupid for the most part, there were a couple of funny moments, but not enough for me to generate... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
