James Joyce is one serious writer. Ulysses is not light reading. I would never have thought that the musical would have lighter moments, or that there would be some delightful lyrics along with the thought provoking dialog. Nora and James were a couple very much ahead of their time. Living together, without the formality of marriage, they broke away from... More

Tonight I saw a wonderful new off-Broadway show called Himself and Nora-a musical about James Joyce-Simply put, this show is excellent! The story was fabulous, the music was delightful, and the cast included two highly- talented actors, Matt Bogart and Whitney Bashor in the staring roles. The show runs thru Labor Day and for all of you New Yorkers/NYC visitors, this... More

The seats were reasonably comfortable but like most theaters getting through the rows can be bothersome. The aisle is off center and does not split the theater in half...so keep that in mind if getting aisle seats. For the larger of the tow sections there is no row G - so row H will have plenty of legroom. The nicer... More

Beautiful theater in a beautiful location and very easy to get to from 4th street station. The production was unbelievable and even though I was exhausted from walking around the city all day....my eyes were glued to the stage. I was a little disappointed that it didn't start at 5pm like it was advertised but that was so very minor.... More

I went and saw The Nutcracker Rouge tonight and it was wonderful! The show was great and I really enjoyed it. The "Turkish Delight"....my favorite! But the Sugarplum Fairy dance was well choreographed. If you're looking for a risqué and fun version of the Nutcracker, definitely check it out! The theatre itself is really nice. It was a cozy little... More

A show full of surprises! Mesmerizing dance performances by Cinderella and the Prince, beautiful costumes, cheeky, bawdy humor, a talented cast who seemed to have as much fun performing as the audience did watching. The Step Mother and sisters stole the show, just loved the red boots!

This was such a nice Intimate Theatre. The seating was comfortable and roomy. Rather large stage. As for the show we saw, Revolution in the Elbow of Ragnar Agnarsson Furniture Painter, yeah not so good. The music was great but the plot was stupid and silly. It had some funny moments but it was bad! However, I've seen worse! Liked... More

we saw "love and information" at the theater. the theater is in a small.warehouse type building, with a set of balcony seats that dangle above from what could be the second / third floor. we sat there as tickets to this performance were very hard to get and we took two of the last four seats. it wasn't a problem... Great price with $20 off / ticket. Show was entertaining. Voices of singers were very good. One solo was so good it held your gaze even while she was being disrobed. It made our holiday trip from GA well worth it. The Nutcracker Rouge was one of the high points during our 2 week trip. I would return to see... More

Nutcracker Rouge created by Company xiv is a blast, if you are willing to let go of your uptight view of the world. Certainly worth following this young troupe with their other productions.
