Chinese New Year

We stocked up on decorations, authentic silk attire and a dragon head for our Chinese New Year party. The store is filled with beautiful items.

Had my feet not already been shot, I could have shopped here for HOURS. They have beautiful Asian gifts, decor, apparel, fabrics, and food items. I saw gorgeous folding fans, silk like slippers, embroidered fabrics and garments, colorful hanging paper lanterns, beautiful candies, teas, cups and saucers, bags and many, many more items. I wish I didn't live so far... More

I was here with my 7 year old daughter this past Sat., Feb. 25, 2017. My child picked up a small toy to look at. After pickng it up, she put the toy down only to be ***SCOLDED*** by an employee for not putting it back in its original, correct location. (1) this is totally absurd reaction by the Pearl... More

This is where I went for cheap but great gift ideas during my NYC visits. Loved the soaps, robes, paper. All so pretty and unique. Great store with a great attitude.

I went to the Pearl River 10 years ago and it certainly had the WOW! Factor then. So when I took a group of girlfriends shopping this was definitely high on the itinery but what a huge disappointment & not worth the detour. Everything is very tired and although very cheap don't waste valuable real shopping time to go there.

there are stories that the store is going to close soon. if that's the case, they have a lot of inventory left. multiple floors & a tea shop. its a great place to buy souvenirs. not that far from a subway stop, & it's in Soho, so there is lots of shopping that can be done in this store and... Go quickly. Word on the street is that this location won't exist much longer. I just realized on this past trip in that there are 3 floors of merchandise and on floor 1.5 there is a little tea restaurant.

Great variety for house and home as well as clothing, unfortunately I understand they will close at the end of the year. Prices are remarkably low!!

Staying in SoHo

Neighbourhood Profile
SoHo
Once the artistic hub of New York City, SoHo (South of Houston) is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway teems with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore by foot. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district –majestic cast-iron architecture everywhere you look. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city. The pretty streets of Nolita (North of Little Italy) offer a more sedate vibe, with plenty of tiny boutiques and hip restaurants to seek out.
