Cute store

I expected the store to be bigger based on reviews. I would target this store for younger children about eleven and under. My kids are 13,8,6 and 5 . My 13 year old was bored... read more

There is nothing there. Not worth going to. Corporate offices only. They use to sell books until 2015.

Lovely display of books but I was disappointed as to the availability of certain books I had expected to be able to find there. I had checked online at the Scholastic store and presumed the books would be in stock at the store . No such luck, and the service staff, of which there were few,we're of little help. (Saw... More

I expected the store to be bigger based on reviews. I would target this store for younger children about eleven and under. My kids are 13,8,6 and 5 . My 13 year old was bored because he felt the books targeted for 13 year olds were more for girls. The girls enjoyed it. There are no chairs to sit on... More

Being a teacher I thought the scholastic store was going to be heaven... Not the case! They have great books but they are all hardback which means they are not cheaper than Australia. I was expecting paperback copies for around $7 but instead there was only hardback for $15. They were also out of a lot of the book character... More

An interactive place for young ones and teens. Brought back childhood memories for Mom and Dad of beloved books. Great selections and staff who know how to find just the right book!

This is a good bookstore both for children and teachers. You can find many books inside. Everytime we visit NYC, we definetely go there. My wife is a teacher and the store offers %20-50 discounts to teachers. So this is a good deal.

Every time we are visiting the city we make a point to visit the Scholastic store in SoHo. The store's book sections are wonderfully laid out and there is plenty of exploring spaces for the kids. Check out their calendar of event before you go as there are many activities for the kids such as crafts, read-alouds, author visits and... More

Such great things, and teachers get a rockin' discount. Bring your ID. If you have kids, you've gotta go, they will love it.

Staying in SoHo

Neighbourhood Profile
SoHo
Once the artistic hub of New York City, SoHo (South of Houston) is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway teems with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore by foot. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district –majestic cast-iron architecture everywhere you look. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city. The pretty streets of Nolita (North of Little Italy) offer a more sedate vibe, with plenty of tiny boutiques and hip restaurants to seek out.
