It costs $36 per person to go up. This does not include the tour of the building. It is worth watching the videos at the beginning (ground floor) which show how the building was constructed etc. The views from the top are great. Personally I...More

Everyone goes up to the top of the ESB and you obviously get fantastic views, but not with the ESB in the photos. Enter, Top Of The Rock. It’s not quite as high as the ESB but the views are just as incredible! We booked...More

We purchased tickets in advance, which helped us avoid the seemingly endless line of those who needed to purchase theirs. When we arrived we were told to wait along the exterior wall and would be told when to enter. We were never told, so at...More

We visited as part of a tour group. We were surprised that it was not crowded. There are 3 levels to view the city. Very nice security guards! Multiple gift shops! Quick ride up and down!

We ended up getting some great night time shots of the Empire State and the Manhattan skyline. As you would expect, it's quite busy for the sunset period and people wouldn't move from the front so we did have to wait for a while before...More

One of my favourite parts of our trip. Highly recommended. We had tickets as part of the Hop on Hop off Downtown loop bus, booked through Trip Advisor. The views are incredible and you also get a fantastic view of the Empire State Building.

This roof top location was recommended as the place to view the Manhattan skyline at sunset. You get a great look at ESB and Central Park.

Of the various rooftop views, this is my favorite in New York. You can see 1 World Trade Center and the Empire State Building on one side; the other offers a great view of Central Park. There are seats in the lower observatory level where...More

Getting our tickets was easy, but finding the elevator was not. There is a large mini mall with many halls and staircases. We kept getting directions from employees that led to the mini mall. Finally an employee told us to exit the building, take an...More

It shouldn’t take any more than an hour to visit all the exhibits before going to the Top. The latest time they take people up to the Top is 10pm. If, for example, you wanted to go at 10pm, be there by 10pm. Have fun!
