If you love jazz, you will love Smalls. If not, best off going somewhere else. Down a narrow flight of stairs, it is as you imagine jazz clubs were 1/2 century ago. Mismatched chairs, a couple rows of benches, some dark corners for those who...More

I wasn’t impressed..... the musicians seemed like they were just jamming together. The music sounded runny and unorganized. Maybe we went on an off night.....but I didn’t think it was that great. Our ticket also got us into Mezzrow, which is much better. Be sure...More

We stopped here for a couple of hours one Sunday afternoon when the music starts at 4.30pm. It’s a cramped basement in Greenwich village -$20 per head to get in but the ticket lasts all night and you can be readmitted. Great performances, very relaxed...More

This place is exactly what you think of when you think of jazz clubs. The only thing missing was it being a smoke filled room (didn't actually miss that). Got there for the first set on a Friday night, starting at 7:30pm. Place opened at...More

This place is very much worth the $20 entrance fee. A small and intimate jazz club with very reasonably priced drinks. The music is outstanding and the drummer is different class. If you get the chance very much worth an evening out.

Remember that drummer from Whiplash? That kid is a punk. You want to listen to real music and you only have one day to spend in New York, the only place you need to visit is Smalls. By far 5 stars is well deserved. Great...More

Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the
West Village is one of the city’s most coveted
addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and
cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture,
this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You
won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan.
Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to
