Our group of visitors to Jewish NYC took a tour to the orthodox Bialystoker Synagogue, one of the highlights of the trip for me. The plain exterior of Manhattan schist originally housed the Episcopal Church, but in 1865 the immigrants from Bialystok, Russia (now Poland)...More

Visited this modern Orthodox synagogue for Shabbat morning service, very friendly and accommodating with kiddush afterwards. Spectacular stained glass windows together with zodiac paintings on the ceiling. Well worth the visit. Tours are available also.
