Went out on a lovely fall day to hike up to Chimney Rock. It was about 4.5 miles roundtrip from the visitor center uphill and down, and well worth it. We reached Wolf Rock first which is fascinating and has deep crevices that can be...More

Beautiful, rocky hiking trails. I have no idea where the deer hide, though! Camping available. I hike here often with kids and dog, lots of trails for different abilities. Junior Park ranger programs available. If you want quiet hiking, you won’t like the motorcycle traffic....More

Great camping here and even better hiking. Lots of history here too. Be sure to check out the old family-operated stills were similar to the one currently on display at the end of the Blue Blazes Whiskey Still trail.

Several great hikes at a variety of levels. Make sure to visit the Falls while you are there. Make sure to stop at the visitors center.

Beautiful park. Great visitors center with knowledgeable rangers. We drove all the way through and checked out each camping area. We’d come back again, maybe someday as hosts.

Too late in the season for the waterfall. The area is really nice and there are a lot of things to do but not everyday. Had a nice short car ride.

The walking is good, however the trail we used was mainly in the forest so the views were limited, even from the viewpoints.

We spent a weekend here and walked with pleasure and delight I believe almost all the trails within the park. The trail map is available for free at the visitor center. Trails are very interesting, some easy, most are moderate and some more difficult. Cacoctin...More
