I'm currently visiting all 50 of America's state capitols and collecting the stamps in the Capitol Collection book. It's a fun thing to do as I am interested in history, politics, and architecture. Having been to many of the capitols already, I have to say that Arkansas's is one of my very favorites. All of the capitols are historic and... More

You can take a self-guided tour, but I would suggest arranging or being there for a tour given by one of the guides. There seems to be a discrepancy between the website and information given on the phone on how these are done. Call to get the skinny. If you have toured other capitol buildings they are in many ways... More

The capital tour was more interesting than I expected. I've visited several times for work, but always just gone straight to the office I needed. When I went with my family, I was pleasantly surprised. There are exhibits about state history, agriculture, the state economy, and past governors. Most of the building was open to the tour, which surprised me.... More

Modeled after the US Capitol, the historic building is a must see place in Little Rock. Short videos are available to watch or just walk around the building and marvel at all the marble and the numerous displays filled with the history of Arkansas.

I have visited the number of state capitols throughout the states over the years but this one takes the cake.. the highlight of this tour is a trip to the treasurer's office.. you are taken into the vault and 400 Grand is placed in your hands!..Wow!.. then you have to give it back.. oh, well.. easy come easy go.. the... This may be the ONLY capital that encourages a tour of the cash vault that once held all the money needed to run the state. The visitor holds bundles of cash and a picture is taken then made available on their website. The vault tour is open until 4 pm. The Capitol building is impressive. The last guided tour of... More

The state Capitol is very big and very nice for making pictures. The inside is beautiful and the gift shop is great. Parking is a significant problem. All of the space around the Capitol is reserved. You are lucky if you can find a metered spot on a nearby block. I was unable to enter the house or senate chamber... More

This museum has a lot of interesting information and changes fairly regularly. I have been there several times. Also has a great gift shop with a lot of local history books and items for purchase. Not particularly large and can be toured if you are skimming (not reading every word of every item) in about 1.5 hours. Has some kid... More
