This is a lake or water reservoir in Ventura, may be considered for a day trip or an overnight camping. The entry is for $10 for a day trip. You can drive both the directions from entry, approximately of 2 miles of drive both the ways to reach the water. There are many picnic tables and camping sites. Nice calm... More

For years I have gone the Lake Casitas. The Bass and Trout fishing is great. With the drought the lake is really low so it is more difficult to do. It is a nice place to go camping with the family. Again the main issue is the water levels because of the drought.

We have camped here many times, but the water was so low this time that it really made us sad. Ordinarily I would be hitting the 4 or 5 star button. Really not the fault of those who care for the area. However, we did have an issue with the online reservation system. It showed all spaces, except one, in... More

To be fair we only made a short visit by car hoping to drive round the lake but that's not possible and as such it wasn't great value for $10. Hardly a 'Wilderness' and the lake itself is really struggling as a result of the water shortages which have left many of the boat ramps looking decidedly high and dry.... More

So I came on a Sunday and I wanted to bring my 20 month old son to enjoy the water park. BIG MISTAKE!!! First of all the prices are ridiculous even for a 20 month old they charge $15.00 what a rip off. I thought the water park was going to be bigger considering all the lifeguards they have around... In the summer this place is hot and very dusty. Most people who day trip go for the water park or have boats they take on the lake. Yo can't swim/play in the lake. There are picnic area for day use and may have grills, or you can bring your own.

We visit Lake Casitas about 2 times per summer. The waterpark is great for little ones al the way up to teens. Pack your lunch in a cooler to eat at the car. No food allowed inside. Camping at Lake Casitas has been a nightmare. On 3 separate occasions we had to call the hosts to manage noisy, drinking, cussing... More

This is our 4th year in a row at Lake Casitas - Creekside camping site. We just have a great fun time, and going to the lazy river in the evening is always a blast for the kid's.

This was my 4th camping experience at Lake Casitas. The previous 3 were average, but the 4th one was a much better experience. Improvements from previous ones: 1) The restrooms were cleaner and it looks like they are now taking the trouble to clean up regularly. Always ensure you get the sites with flush toilets and avoid the sites with... More
