Great overview of the revolution. There are a few movies shown inside the exhibit which are informative and also very engaging. One is like 180 degree screen that also has "wind" effect and "smoke" effect during the movie, very cool. The kids (age 12,14) loved...More

I love this revision of the old Yorktown Victory Center. The museum has excellent and informative exhibits, especially the Siege of Yorktown, where you feel as if you are surrounded by the action. The outdoor exhibits feature a military encampment and a 1780s farm. I...More

This was a great stop. We started with the inside displays and a 3d movie that included vibrations and smoke. We continued outside to the excellent displays of an encampment. We enjoyed discussions with the 'soldiers' in several tents who were well versed in the...More

The indoor museum is brand-spanking new. Trying to address the broad sweep of the American Revolution is impossible beyond a summary. Outside, the military demonstrations were quite good with lively and knowledgeable presenters. The presenter at the farm home was also good.

Our friend who is a Williamsburg local and private guide took us to the museum having told us it was a must see. He was right. The short movie on the siege is awesome. Makes you feel like you're right there. The exhibits are very...More

Very good museum to explain the Revolutionary War and varying experiences during the period. There is a 12 minute movie that you MUST see and experience. There is vibration, smoke, smells and nearly 180 degree screen to enjoy. Many nice exhibits spaces are interactive as...More

Thoroughly enjoyable visit! We took the self-guided tour of museum, revolutionary encampment and farm. The re-enactors did a very good job of demonstrating day-to-day life in revolutionary times, especially the demos of food preparation and preservation. Well worth the price of admission, and we would...More
