Along the same lines a Williamsburg but on a smaller less commercial scale. A delightful place to walk around and take in the past. Plenty to see and a beach thrown in!

Really enjoyed visiting this national treasure of history. To see and stand on the ground where early settlers first immigrated was really moving.

A great place to follow history and to walk around. There are several period correct restaurants that can put you back in time. Allow at least half a day to get the most of it. The meals can be expensive but they will be unforgetable.

Colonial Williamsburg has much fulfilled and unfulfilled potential. What they do well they do superbly. They know how to make history come alive and in doing so they don't have to force it to make it relevant, it just becomes transparently, totally relevant. They know...More

I have been visiting Colonial Willamsburg since 1964. Every year That I return I find something new to learn. Whether you visit the palace, capital building, Barret Hall, eat at a tavern or take a carriage ride there is something for everyone here.
