Loved the watermen's museum in Yorktown - it is in a lovely old building, and it is a bit cramped for all the information there, so you have to concentrate and move slowly. Outside the museum continues with actual old boats and tackle. I came...More

This small museum is dedicated to the nautical items in the area. There is a master builder of model ships who is friendly and will answer all questions. Definite must see.

We did visit while on the river walk. It's small but had slot of great information and exhibits. It was worth the brief stop

This museum is small but packed with boat models, ship models, facts, and a nice gift shop. It was a hot day here-97 degrees F, and the heat index was 103, but it was cool inside.

A dedicated staff put on a wonderful experience that even the local teachers bring their students on field trips. Hands on opportunity. Bring your camera. Don't be afraid to ask questions!

We wanted to visit because this place was listed in the AAA Tour Guide book, but we found it to be limited. One advantage is the low admission fee, but we had no tour guides or anyone to provide expert opinion. My dad did enjoy...More
