Day trip

Very serene and spiritual. To get the complete experience, be prepared to climb a lot of stairs. It is well worth the effort.

There is a nice little trail along the stations of the cross Wear comfortable shoes. Passing by at night on the highway, it's all lit up and gorgeous, a site to behold. Quaint little chapel and this is a place to pray, reflect and feel peaceful. There is no charge. If you are nearby, it's definitely worth seeing,

The shine is a great place to visit when you need a quiet place to collect yourself and listen to the sky, your inner voice or commune with your maker. There are many places that offer a fantastic view of the countryside. The Chapel is open for those people who want to pray and Stations of the Cross are always... More

Beautiful place with a beautiful view. The statue of Mary and the cross are stunning to see up close. The chapel is open if you would like to see the inside and say a prayer.

Our Lady of the Sierras is the gem of the Sierra valley area. My family went there many times last summer and I miss it terribly. The people who work there (if you see anyone are very friendly) it's a Gorgeous spot to rest, pray ,walk. You certainly don't have to be Catholic or religious to visit! (Warning : you... More

Situated on the slopes of the Huachuca Mountains, the views are inspiring and soul-filling. A quiet place for contemplation, meditation or simply a respite from the work-a-day world, it is awesome in the truest sense. This Marianist Chapel knows no limits to one's religious persuasion or lack thereof. It simply sits there, calling to our inner selves to take respite.

After burning in the Monument Fire in 2011, this site has risen like the Phoenix to be as good as it was before. The chapel has been restored and everything is lovely again. It's a lovely place to go and walk around, reflect, or just enjoy the view. Parking is a bit limited but I've never had a problem finding... More

This is such an unusual site off of the highway. Please take the time to walk the stations going up to the chapel and then finish them above the chapel. There are railings but not appropriate for the infirmed/unfit. The quietude and the natural setting are most striking!

After the fire of 2011 burned most of the area, the church was rebuilt and is as beautiful and relaxing as it can be. The view is amazing too!
