Our last experience was the music of the Sonoran Dogs before a sold out audience. The venue offers entertainment that will be enjoyable and help you forget all problems existing in your life and society.

The Arizona Folklore Preserve is a hidden gem near the end of the road in Ramsey Canyon, along a seasonal stream and huge Sycamore trees. They feature western folk music on weekends for most of the year. Dolan Ellis is the backbone of the theater. We have attend 6 concerts in the last year, each a fun and reasonably priced... More

I have gone many times to the shows in this intimate quaint theater where you are up and close to the entertainers. There is a new show every weekend. They are only open for shows on Saturdays and Sundays. The shows are at 2 p.m. The resident artist is Dolan Ellis who is the State Balladeer for Arizona. You can... More

Check out Arizona Folklore Preserve's website to see who will be performing there in the upcoming weeks. Many special, niche, Western performers can be seen and heard there that can't be found easily elsewhere. And, the tickets are only $15/person and there's not a bad seat in the house.

I've visited the Preserve a number of times over recent years. Most recently, I spent 6 weeks in Cochise County and didn't miss a weekend concert. Talented musicians who share their experiences,, knowledge of the state and amazing virtuosity for a nominal price. The setting is awesome, the volunteers gracious and the gift shop delightful. For an Old West treat,... More

Dolan Ellis, named the AZ Balladeer for over 50 yrs., (and an original member of the Christy Minstrels) continues to entertain at the AZ Folklore Preserve with his western songs and lore of Arizona. You're reliving the state's history through his stories of it's famous, and many 'unknown' but marvelous characters and events here. A beautiful setting w/delightful volunteers!

Great place to visit and relax, that has some awesome talent to preform there. Michael Grande is a local treasure that certainly brings the house down! If you want to enjoy a Michael Grande concert, get there EARLY, because tickets sell out QUICKLY! If you're withing 100 miles of his performance: DON'T MISS MICHAEL GRANDE!

Our first visit to the Preserve and saw Sonoran Dogs perform. Great concert! The volunteers who help run this place have done an excellent job! Would love to go again in the future. I do not smoke, however, be aware smoking is not permitted on the property. And please, if you do smoke in your car, don't throw the cigarette... More

The setting is tranquil and has beautiful forest views. I have usually been here for meetings, and food served was very good.
