Small building but such a cool sight if you love aviation. Everything is located closely together, so you can also walk to the house of the Wright Brothers.

Not that big of a site itself but it is also within a block of their printing press and their house. Plenty of parking and worth a short stop.

I you love flying history you should start with the Wright Brothers, The location is the shop where they made bikes on the 1st floor. The building next door has a two floors museum. The Wright Brothers Museums are free with free parking.

Actual building that the Wright brothers used during the development of the first airplane. The small bicycle shop is well done, the larger interpretive museum next door is even better. A good understanding on one of the more significant inventions and historical era. Wish that...More

We enjoyed seeing the printing memorabilia in the building and learning about the Wright Brothers early printing and bicycle businesses. The parachute displays on the 2nd floor were very educational and full of information. It was great to know that the Interpretive center and the...More

This is an interesting site and I learned more about the Wright brothers. There’s a 30 minute video that give a nice description of the struggles to fly and how it took years to overcome many hurdles. The museum and bike store aren’t very large,...More

This is a work in progress. Worth the time to explore and learn more about the things that the Wright Brothers were involved in. Relatively small with a lot information available.

This was the one part of these museums that actually seemed interesting since the Aviation part of this area is misleading. Unfortunately it was closed, and the ranger playing on his phone in the other museum did not explain why.

It is operated by the National Park Service. Normal hours are 9-5 M-F. Good Friday is not a national holiday so it is scheduled to be open.

The video is about 15 minutes, and it is EXCELLENT. You can do the remainder in less than an hour, or take a couple of hours if you are interested in the details. The Cyclery Shop is about 10-15 minutes, it is next door.

Although some of the Wright buildings are in Michigan, the shop in Dayton is the actual one they had businesses in before the first flight. There are some of the actual machining tools there, also. It has original bikes. And... More
