This is actually a collection of historic sites including the home of the Paul Lawrence Dunbar's mother, the Huffman Prairie location where the brothers tested some of their flying machines and the museum. I was at the Huffman location one time when someone was flying one of the replica planes and it crashed. All of these sites are worth visiting... More

We have lived in this area for years and finally visited this site. We were very impressed with the exhibits. They included great information about the Wright Brothers, Paul Laurence Dunbar, and other historical events of the same time frame. The information is very well-presented and maintained. I loved walking through the original building which housed the Wright's print shop... More

Another chapter in our quest to complete the Wright Bros. story ! Having been to Kill Devil Hills it was fitting to finally get to Dayton. The Center is well set out with lots of interesting sections, not just of the Wrights ! Replica store, Printing business, Paul L Dunbar History , Simulators etc ! I crashed & burned several... More

We stopped here on a very cold, wet day in late November and had a great time in the main visitor's center. My three kids really enjoyed learning about the Wright brothers many talents and interests and what exactly they did to further the achievements in flight. Due to the bad weather, we were not able to visit the other... More

Everything you want to know about the Wright Brothers growing up. The Parachute Museum on the 2nd floor was a nice bonus. We also took the 1 hour walking tour of the neighborhood. It was very nice & informative.

The first floor dedicated to flight had some nice exhibits but don't miss the second floor where there is information on the history of printing. Plenty of room, not many people.

So much to see here, particularly as the site encompasses the Huffman Praire Flying Field and Interpretive Center, the Wright Brothers Cycle Company, and Carillon. There are several activities at the main center (The address on this page). There is a really good 30 minute film on the Wright Brothers. Several exhibits cover Dayton history and the lives of the... This site was on our list of Parks to visit on our trip. They had a very informative movie which explained the Wright Brothers lives and their methods for achieving their goals. They also had good exhibits and artifacts of aviation. There are several locations for this Park but we didn't go see the other sites. On the 2nd floor,... More

Interesting artifacts and history of aviation. Part of the museum is devoted to local poet and friend of the Wrights, Paul Lawrence Dunbar, which didn't seem to fit the aviation history or theme of the Center, though. Nice activities for kids.

I work for the National Park Service and was here for training. Had a great time, and was amazed at being able to see the history of aviation come alive. From the Wright Brothers Printing and Bicycle shop to the Huffman Prairie Flying Field and the Wright Flyer 3, you can the infancy of aviation. The park is well done,... More
