This hike was quite popular, so if you are looking for a quiet trail, this would not be the one for you. The hike has incredible views and relatively easy. You are able to check out other trails that come off the hike. I recommend taking this trail to Gower Gulch if you want a less popular but equally beautiful... More

I fell in love with Golden Canyon! Initially, there's a bit of difficulty getting going. There are a couple of steep rocks. Just go slowly and take it easy. Going up isn't difficult, but coming down (for me) turn around and climb down backwards! Once you get up there, the rest of the way is flat. I walked toward Red... More

This was one of our favorite trails in the park. The rock formations are fascinating and exceptional. We walked as far as the Red Cathedral and highly recommend this. We stopped our trip when we had to climb through narrow rock formation. Nevertheless, we were totally satisfied going to the cathedral. this is a "must see"site in the park.

We just fit in this hike at the end of our whistle stop day tour of Death Valley before the sun set. There is a good size parking lot here and you can hike through the Canyon as far as you like, towards Red Cathedral rock which is a scramble to climb up. It goes for 8km if you want... More

Well...this is what happened. My wife and I embarked on the Golden Canyon trail, which was paved, however, we didn't travel too far when we noticed a hidden entrance on the right side. We decided to see where the trail takes us. There were no signs or people on that trail. The terrain was more rugged, dusty, slippery and with... More

From the road, this out-and-back hike up a hill isn't amazing, but adding in the longer, exerting spur brings you to some incredible places that seem very far from the crowds. We took 1.5-2 hours on it, and got out of breath at the top, and rushing at the end, but all of that was totally worth it. The late... More

The landscape on this 8 km walk is overpowering. Soaring buttresses and tilted, angled mountains painted in bright coloured layers that boggle the mind. The path winds around varying types of landscapes, all of which look like they came from another planet. Now wonder some outside shots for Starwars and Lost in Space were shot here!!

This place is amazing. I visited it during the end of December 2016 when the weather at 7 am is in the cool 30-40 degree area (cooler without the sun of course). There is a parking area for what looked like 20 cars, but people park on the outskirts of the lot itself as well. The trail is easy spotted... More

A great walk up a gradual slop towards the red cathedral cliff. Take a right towards the loop trail and you can get a great view from this trail (or walk all the wY to the red rock)
