Had some reservations about going to this, but being a fan of Bethlehem and Christmas, we thought we'd give it a try. The location was great, parking was easy, but paying $9 to walk around what was essentially a commercialized holiday craft fair, was a...More

We have attended Christkindlmarkt for the past several years with relatives from New Jersey. It’s a nice way to kick off the Christmas season. We enjoy walking about and checking out the vendors, making some purchases, and having a snack. The admission charge seems high,...More

My first visit to Bethlehem's "Christ Kindl Market" yesterday (12/10/17) was a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. I expected an outdoor Christmas Market like those in Germany, England and Manhattan. This one is in a HUGE walled tent. I was shocked to find a $9 admission charge, just...More

I enjoyed my visit here the things I did not like was paying $9.00 to enter to "shop" and not many choices of places to eat and to sit. The crafts were all nice and I did not realize that all the crafters charged tax....More

These markets or shows are like most others. Many of the people who do visit are just lookers and yes there can be on the expensive side. Depends what your looking for. We drove up from Fredericksburg, VA to spend a night in Lancaster and...More

Visited for the first time on Saturday. Plenty of free parking, yet you have a bit of a walk. Paying $9.00 for admission is a bit steep, but consider the cost of the tents and heating the tents (4) can be costly. The crafters were...More

Disappointing in that it was rated so highly. Best part was seeing the Steel Stacks of Bethlehem - a sad testament to poorly managed US industry. The market was an assortment of crafts/soaps/candles for sale - some wonderful work by very talented people but still...More

This was my first visit to this market and I guess I just had high expectations of a Christkindlmarkt in Bethlehem AKA Christmas City! Boy, was I disappointed. I was looking for unique gifts, charming Christmas decorations, maybe some authentic German-style food but it seemed...More

So disappointed. You pay $9 to shop at kiosks. Crowded and not cute. Better to walk downtown for the Christmas feeling

I would agree with other responder, definitely Hotel Bethlehem. Your family may even take a self-guided tour through the hotel to see their amazing Christmas decor[brochures at the front desk]
