This was our overnight stop before we headed to Yosemite and it's a bit dated now with a lot of the rooms in need of a revamp. The place itself has a few things to do like walking trails, bike trails and a cable car...More

Easy to do. Great views. Lots of snow when we were there. Many people brought dogs and kids. Interesting interpretive exhibits. They sell snacks and souvenirs if you need them. No bikes at top due to snow.

I am so glad I took the tram to the top of this great mountain. The views are spectacular and it gives a great view of the lakes. For mountain biking this would be a great place with the continual tram rides to the top....More

Took the Twin Lakes hike down the mountain at the suggestion of one of the staff and the views were incredible! There was also a shuttle as the bottom so getting back to my hotel was easy!

Over all, a nice stay at the Mammoth Inn, however, if you eat there be ready to get through a couple of bottles of wine before dinner turns up.

Although we had a day where the smoke closed in and visibility became poor, I was so glad we were there and plan to go back. The views we were able to see were spectacular, the ruggedness and beauty outstanding. The hiking trails are numerous.

We took the gondola to the top and made our way down the mountain to take in the stunning views. Less than 5 miles to the foot of the mountain. Great wee trail.

By April, it will definitely be spring style skiing. The snow will be better on top were the temps remain lower throughout the day and night, and the snow will be likely a 7-Eleven Slurpy at the lower elevations. By June... More
