Best snow ever

Coming here my entire life this was the best snow conditions we've ever seen. If you have a chance to make it up here this year, make it a point to do so. You won't be disappointed

We skied on fresh snow with no crowds during the week. A fantastic ski resort with a lovely village and terrific views from the top.

The Mammoth Ski Resort is very large, with over 3,500 acres of skiing and snowboarding. There is an extensive system of 28 lifts to whisk you up the mountain that includes gondolas, high-speed quads, and express 6-pack chair lifts. It is located within the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and is very scenic. There are beautiful trees and rock features. You can... More

Mammoth mountain is as good as it gets for California skiing, and comparable or better than most Colorado resorts. Huge mountain with lots of trails, excellent lifts, great for snowboarding and skiing!

What an awesome time at Mammoth. The conditions were perfect for all day skiing and snowboarding. Be aware that it may get gusty at the top and visibility can be very poor. You will need a face mask to protect you from the bitter cold. Lift tickets at the mountain are very expensive, about $149 a day for adults. We... More

Stayed at Juniper Springs. Without a doubt the best location at this resort. Heated underground parking, high quality rooms, ski lockers, great staff at front desk, resort shuttle, and, of course, the ability to walk 20 yards to the lift! We are now spoiled and will not stay anywhere else. Book in advance to insure that you can stay at... More

A unique mountain, wonderful runs for all levels of skiers/riders. Great snowboard park for those fearless riders. Fun, helpful staff members. Easy access from numerous parking areas, including a gondola from the Village. "Try before you buy" policy in the rental shops on the mountain. Several slope side lodges for a quick lunch but you pay for the convenience, pack... More

I did not plan this trip, but ended up here, there are many slopes, most of which are very easy going, the snow was perfect and the day sunny and views fantastic. plenty of places to stop & eat / drink but overall very expensive (Twice the price of similar slopes in Switzerland lift tickets, food & drink!)
