McGee Creek is a Short drive off of the 395. We took our two young children on a nice, one hour, horseback ride up into the canyon. We saw the beautiful streams, wild flowers, and breath taking views of the Sierras. The employees at McGee...More

Beautiful area. with plenty of wild flowers. This was supposed to be the start of our backpacking trip to Mammoth, but unfortunately McGee Creek's water levels were so high, that we were not able to pass the creek

A beautiful place. Several beaver dams along the creek. Shallow in lots of places but several pools looked good for fishing. We saw DFG stock with 50lbs of rainbow trout while we were there. Very cool to watch. Still couldn't catch anything! LOL Wildflowers weren't...More

The Eastern Sierras have over the years become a favorite autumn destination for me. There are many little and larger canyons you can easily reach from highway 395. Mc Gee Creek's Canyon is one of those. You don't have to drive in very far to...More
