What a treat to visit a National Park Visitor Center that cares enough about the quality of service it provides the visitor by staffing the Visitor Center desk with a uniformed professional National Park Ranger. We were disappointed the day before at Rocky Mountain National...More

There is a nice visitor center and a shuttle to take people up to the actual bones. The bone wall is amazing, and there is a great deal of information to help identify the bones. Nice little museum by the bone wall. Worth seeing.

We came mainly for the quarry but discovered the national monument offered a lot more than expected. The many hiking trails offer different levels of abilities and the scenery are all enjoyable. Our most memorable one was hiking to see the petroglyphs at Cub Creek...More

We stopped here for a couple hours. The wall in the quarry was quite impressive. We also went to the petroglyphs. They were very visible from the road at mile marker 13.

Still worth the drive. Main building is where all the fossils are. There are plenty of other places to get out of the car and hike/walk.

We were there in Late April and it was quite cool. I know it can hot in the summer, but the campground is on the river and has lots of trees so it may not be too bad. It is absolutely gorgeous.
