This place gets more colorful at night, and is a great place to visit for a cheesesteak at Jim's and/or a slice of pizza at Lorenzo's. Walking up and down the street is a must and at the end there is a pier for your...More

South Street for us is a visit to Jim's Steaks. OK, so there used to be a great place-to-be scene here as well.....that's mostly gone now, but who cares? Jim's is still there....the absolute best philly steak on the planet!

Oh! South Street!! There more locals here than there are in the entire city!! It's a nice promenade... Especially after the sunset... It's colorful, lots of lights, different shops, cafes, restaurants, and people! You'll fall in love with it! I mean it!

I really likes South Street. Has a cool vibe. Interesting shops and sites to see like the mosaic building. Good food there too.

Always go when I visit home. Brought my fiance here for the first time in September. We walked around and enjoyed the scenery. Took him for his first real cheese steak and he loved it!

South Street is still a destination, but with so many stores and restaurants gone, its rather sad for people like me that used to go specifically to South Street to enjoy the different shops. The cool shoe stores, the boutiques, have either closed. I think...More
