This is the home to a number of great restaurants and very unusual shops. It's also great for people watching.

There is still plenty to see and do on South Street, but it's full of boring corporate spots where fun, independent purveyors once were. If you do go and are looking for the infamous Zipperhead store, it's now called Crash Bang Boom and is on...More

I used to go here all the time about 20 years ago. It has lost it's luster as a shopping/dining destination. Not as artsy/funky as it used to be and seems more run down and dirty.

There is so much to do on South Street and adjacent streets. Plenty of places to eat, drink, shop, and people watch. Everyone is friendly and it is very lively on the weekends.

I really don't agree that safety is an issue on South Street - its perfectly safe - in fact, with cops on virtually every corner and a police station at 9th and South its well patrolled constantly. Take it for what it is - a...More
