The place itself is really good. They have an upstairs area and everything like that. The place isn't too big but it's also not too small. The only bad thing that happened when I was there was that the bartender was being mean so... yeah.

I've been going to concerts at the TLA since I was 16 (so for the past 8 years). As an avid concert goer, usually for lesser known punk and alternative bands, I've been in lots of this type of venue. Indoor concert venues/bars aren't going to be the same as a stadium show. They're rougher, they're a bunch of sweaty... More

I recently took my daughter to a show here and the security personnel were very rude to everyone. Not one in particular but several of them were rude and weren't very helpful when asked questions. The establishment should require that their employees are courteous to those paying to see an event at their venue.

Ballet to rock music? Ok soft rock & young dancers (not Bolshoi) but delightful. Goid music choice. Bar & waitstaff @ your seat. Balcony bars impede view. Good sound. Nit your momma's tla. Worth a visit. Dancers worth another visit too! Rock on!!!!

Nice place for a rock concert. Good acoustics. We were standing room only, but there were seats off to the sides. Stage was large. A/C was good cause it was a hot day. Would definitely go back.

I was there for the big phat losers tour and the meet and great was the best. Wish there would have been seating for the actual show.

Went here to see my favorite band play. Awesome experience being in the front row and being so close to the band. Does get hot and stuffy with a large amount of people in one room.

Great little venue on South Street in Philadelphia. Parking garages are nearby. Plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops to see before concert. Inside, as with the Trocadero, can't take your drink to the rail, have to stay in bar area. Kind of a drag. Guinness was $9. Great sound system, lighting, sight lines. Floor is sloped, so you have a... More

The TLA is an interesting little place. We went last night for Stone Temple Pilots. For standing room only the ticket price was high. Two large domestic light beers were $22.00! This is a place, like the Troc, that is worth going to at least one show. This is not a high end joint but it is kinda cool.

I went on a Saturday night with friends for Griz. Waiting in line I watched the woman security guard do a serious pat down. I was well aware of the restrictions and took care not to bring anything that wasn't allowed. I had leggings, a simple tank top on and a spirit hood, basically nothing and I got quite the... More
