What a great surprise when we walked in to get tickets that night. 1/2 price! The oldest theatre in the country! They were even selling jewelry in the lobby, and I picked up a lovely necklace. Nice theatre that shows a big production but also...More

I have been a subscriber for years and I cannot get enough of this wonderful old theater. I saw Annie 2nd night to a standing ovation - it was really that good. The theater patrons are exceptional, all volunteers. Not a bad seat in the...More

We had the pleasure to visit the theatre on a Sunday matinee. The grandkids (5 & 7) loved it. The theatre is very nicely located in the downtown area, cosy and not too big. Scrooge was great and we can only recommend this theatre

This theater is small, but it also offers great views from wherever you're seated as well. It was cold in there (frigid and windy outside) on the night we went, so make sure you're prepared. We saw Annie, and it was a great rendition with...More

Living overseas I always look forward to stopping at IHOP and having a great breakfast. Food was fine but the store needs some care. A good deep cleaning might not be a bad idea. Waitresses and waiters were nice and helpful.

I’ve been a subscriber for three years and think it’s a great deal for tickets in Philadelphia. Most of the plays are very well known and therefore do not disappoint. The theater usually have a great Christmas play as well. Tickets are much cheaper than...More

I didn't know anything about this theatre before going to see A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, a classic Sondheim production. Apparently, its the oldest continuously running theatre in America! This year (2017) is the 209th season! I dare say its...More

If you like comedy you will enjoy the Walnut's performance of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. The main character, Pseudolus played by Frank Ferrante, is very well done and makes the play. The other actors are also strong and the...More

I just checked the theater's website and it looks like the theater is closed for the month of August. The next show listed is South Pacific on September 6, 2016.

Its not the best, but still good. Theater is small, so unless you are in a far corner, you are fine. Enjoy!
