We visited the memorial as part of a walk along Penns landing. It is behind Spruce park. We were alone there and I thought how sad. I thought the Korean War was largely forgotten. Suddenly lots of people turned up, servicemen and families. Good to know those who lost their lives to avoid a dictatorship are not forgotten. An informative... More

This, much like the Scottish Memorial, is a quaint, small, quiet memorial that's overshadowed by another, in this case the Vietnam Memorial. It's very intimate and touching, which is nice for a place as empty as this.

This is a great memorial to the Korean War. It is in the Penn Landing's area and just walking around, you are surprised to see it there. You can take 15-20 minutes and examine this memorial. It is beautiful and they did a great job honoring those who served in this war.

TripAdvisor indicates the Korea War Memorial is at 1609 Snyder Avenue. I visited another two blocks south of Market Street, near the 2nd Street Metro station. I stayed at Hilton Penn’s Landing (highly recommended), coincidentally, the week of Memorial Day. The concierge informed me of this memorial, and the adjacent Vietnam Veterans Memorial, both a block for the Hilton. The... More

This memorial is very close to the Vietnam war memorial. As part of your visit to Penn's Landing, include it as part of the stroll, The walk was featured in our guide book, and very well done. After the visit, we went to the Irish Memorial, then turned in a few blocks to find many eateries, pubs, and taverns for... More

Tall pillar structures make this quit a display, The location is lovely! Park benches with shade trees and gardens everywhere. Parking seems easy in that area. The river front is only a stones throw away,... More

Visitors to this small but tastefully presented memorial will see a representation of the trials that faced our brave soldiers and marines in this often overlooked and little understood war. It is worth the time to visit and appreciate their efforts,

When walking from Old City Philadelphia (with historic landmarks, restaurants and movie theaters) toward the lively nightlife promenade of South Street/Head House, you can stroll past this moving war memorial. The large granite slabs, engraved with the names of the sadly departed from the Korean War, stand as a silent Henge to wander through and contemplate. So many promising young... More

My son & I stumbled upon this memorial by chance. This was a very nice exhibit presented on lovely grounds near the Delaware river.
