We had just returned from West Point, NY and heard that Kosciusko, an officer to the rank of Brigadier General in the Continental Army, was responsible for these engineering fortifications during the Revolutionary War; he was also the engineer for the battles of Ticonderoga and...More

Not much to see here, but great history that few Americans and others know about. If you have a kid going after Junior Ranger badges, you can actually earn one here, a fairly easy one and a rare one to obtain for sure. Worth the...More

This is what Thomas Jefferson said of Thaddeus Kosciuszko (TK), the Polish-Lithuanian military engineer and strategist who was born in revolutionary times and made significant contributions to the success of the American Revolutionary War. Jefferson and TK maintained a close friendship until the end of...More

Awesome national park dedicated to a great man who played a large role in the development of American history. Worth stopping by! A well done museum.

This is one of the smallest NPS sites you will find, but it is quite interesting. It interprets Kosciuszko's visit to the US. There are exhibits explaining his life and his lodgings are recreated. Somewhat limited opening hours, but worth the short walk from Independence...More

Nice quick visit. Kids can do the junior ranger booklet here and learn some history as a result, and earn a badge. Open very limited hours.

It's really sad that not many people know who Tadeusz Kościuszko is, considering America probably would not have won the Revolutionary War without him. He was a tactical genius and his planning led to a victory at Saratoga (which turned the tides of the war...More

The smallest site in the National Park Service, this building is not far from Independence Hall and worth a stop. I enjoyed the short film about Thaddeus. I love checking out these smaller sites, you learn something every time!

No fee, you could see it in 45 minutes on the quick side; up to 2 hours I'd say.
