The Battle of Gettysburg was a turning point in the Civil War, the Union victory that ended General Robert E. Lee's second and most ambitious invasion of the North. Often referred to as the "High Water Mark of the Rebellion", Gettysburg was the Civil War's bloodiest battle and was also the inspiration for President Abraham Lincoln's immortal "Gettysburg Address".

We used an audio tour and it was very good. Was amazed at the facts about the various battles and looking at the actual places where the battles took place was just unbelievable. Would recommend this trip to anyone with any interest in history.

Wonderful place to see history right in front of you! You need more than one day to see it all. Really enjoyed the view with the fall leaves.

Rode the tour bus with guide Jeff who was very knowledgeable then drove back through in our car afterward. Learn about the war & those involved. Be where Lincoln walked & spoke to the people.

Taking teens anywhere can be a challenge to get their approval but this did! Searching for names that matched family lines and friends got their attention and they sought out more information as we went. Great learning and bonding time!

Beautiful landscape. Difficult to imagine three days of bloodshed taking place there. Be sure to explore the areas where the South prepared for Picketts Charge to get a diferent perspective

you receive discounts on those ticket prices if you're a senior and a member of the armed forces. Also I believe veterans. the pass you speak of is more for access fees like the fees to enter example petersburg.
