I was a bit disappointed with this museum. The corridors were all narrow and cluttered. Nazi Paraphernalia and Memorabilia occupy far too much of the available display space inside the museum. Hitler's silverware, swastika's and other offensive material from the "Third Reich" are on display....More

I went to the Gettysburg Museum of History back in 2009 and enjoyed my visit. This is do-able in a short amount of time to fill in your trip if you need, and of course, to remember history which is vital.

This museum is full of history. Not just from Gettysburg, but several times in history. Interesting finds and some of the artifacts are for sale.

The museum contains everything you can imagine from civil war firearms to The uniforms of Dick Winters of Band of Brothers fame to that of Audi Murphy. More is better here and the Curator Erik is knowledgeable beyond belief. Highly recommended.
